To assist new immigrants who have recently arrived in an overseas country and are struggling to adapt to their new environment, by providing specialized support and guidance, with a focus on immigration and relocation support services.

WHAT’S THE SHORT-TERM PLAN?

The first step is the pilot stage, followed by the awareness and implementation phase.
The short-term goal is to help at least 100 academy students complete their relocation journey before the end of 2023.
THE 30-DAY AND 3 MONTH PLAN
Over the next few days and weeks, we shall consolidating on the plans and executing a 30-Day Migration Mentorship Bootcamp designed to kick start a 3-month implementation phase. The 30-Day Migration Mentorship Bootcamp has been tagged the 30-Day Japa Challenge.
The challenge has been built around one of the hottest and most trending slangs in Africa: “JAPA”

The idea is to get as many Africans as possible into the same room with diaspora-based mentors and experts who can provide undiluted information to the public as well as provide answers to their numerous questions and provide support for those who are just starting their journey or are currently stuck.

They are nurses, HCA’s, doctors, occupational therapists, HSE professionals, lab scientists, nutritionists, pharmacists, social workers and others
International students
These are individuals who are currently studying abroad or planning to study abroad.
They are interested in learning more about the challenges and opportunities of studying overseas and may need help with admission applications and funding opportunities.
Teachers, educators and scholars
These are individuals who are currently teaching or interested in pursuing a career in education overseas.
They are interested in learning more about the education systems in different countries and may need help with job applications and networking.
Tech experts
These are individuals who are currently working in the tech industry or interested in pursuing a career in tech overseas.
They are interested in learning more about the tech industry in different countries and may need help with job applications and networking.
Mentors and coaches:
These are individuals who have experience living and working overseas and are interested in providing guidance and support to those who are currently pursuing their overseas career journeys.
They may be individuals who are interested in a career as an overseas mentor, leading the academy programs, creating their own online courses or mentorship/coaching programs from their knowledge, experience or expertise.

Q: Who comprises of the Volunteer Team?
Click Here to ViewAnswer: Everyone who are showing the desire to support the academy project, are excited to fulfil the passion for volunteering, and looking for great opportunity to learn and grow!As a volunteer member, you will be working with the Global Project Coordinators who have been assigned with the sole responsibilities of leading the entire activities for the Japa Challenge
The Global Project Coordinators are working with the lead innovators and other partners to manage the overall plan for the 30-Day Challenge.
What are the roles and responsibilities of the volunteer team?

This team shall be expected to have a measure of skills in digital marketing.
They will be responsible for implementing the digital marketing strategies to promote the challenge, sustain excitement during the challenge, and also execute an upscale plan after the challenge
Social Media Management:
This team shall comprise of 5-10 team members who shall rotate on between 5 social media handles, namely: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Telegram
Apart from managing the social media presence of the challenge, the team shall engage community members and respond to questions all through the event.
The team shall also be responsible for compiling a comprehensive FAQs for all questions asked during the event
Content Disemmination and Distribution:
This volunteers shall be responsible for distributing ready made contnets in an engaging and informative manner that will generate active participations by all who sign up for the challenge.
Contest Coordination:
This team shall comprise of 2-3 individuals who will be responsible for implementing the creative ideas for weekly contest, prize giving and rewards during and after the challenge.
Statistics, Logistics and Data Analysis
This team of expert personnel shall be responsible for managing the satistical data and logistics for the challenge. This include managing google forms, registration and feedback forms, poll results, webinar attendance etc
N.B – Kindly note that individuals who belong to the volunteer members can also belong to the second category outside the volunteer team.
Q: Any other tasks to be assigned to the volunteer team?
Click Here to View- Comprising the 8-15 team members who will be responsible for executing the 30-Day Japa Challenge.
- The team will be receiving guidance, support and training required to plan, organise and execute the 30-Day Challenge.
- Will work with the global project coordinators to ensure that the program meets its objectives and goals.
- Will be responsible for implementing the digital media strategies developed by the digital branding department to promote the challenge.
- Will coordinate the Social Media Awareness Campaign for the challenge as well as be responsible for managing and daily engaging the online community of the challenge.
- Will distribute the content developed by the Content Creating Department targeted at the online community members. The content will be focused on stimulating engagement on the community mentorship platforms (Telegram, Facebook) through the posted content and periodic reminders and announcements.
- Will be responsible for supporting the Global Project Coordinators to organize and coordinate daily activities related to the challenge.
- Will work with the IT and digital experts to sorting out technical issues related to the challenge.
N.B – All Volunteers Members will have the opportunity to be enrolled in a 4-week intensive internship training to become mentor, project coordinators, coaches, team leads, managers and directors.
Working Team

Q: Who comprises of the working team and what is their roles?

This team shall lead the excution of the 30-Day Japa Challenge in collaboration with all members of the working team. The team shall also oversee the recruiting, management and coordination of the volunteer team working with other members of the working team to deliver the goals of the 30-Day Challenge.
■ Social Media and Digital Marketing Experts
This team of experts will deploy thier skills in digital media marketing to oversee, manage and deliver the digital marketing plan and strategies designed for the 30-Day Challenge. The team will also coordinate the digital media plan for the post-challenge activities.
■ Academy Coaches and Leaders
They are responsible for leading the delivery of career guidance, counselling, mentorship, coaching and support to the community members during and after the challenge.
Their roles include facilitating mentorship, coaching and training sessions, leading bootcamps sessions, featuring on live webinars, providing feedback, guidance, counselling and advice that will help community members achieve their goals.
They are expected to be experts who are knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields, and to be patient, empathetic, and effective communicators.
Most of the academy coaches and leaders are already established coaches and mentors who are either just joining the coaching crew to lead the mentorship sessions for the academy or already have a place as founding members of the academy.
Academy Coaches and Leaders are potential candidates to step up the ladder into official roles as Foundation Members, Co-Founders or Board Members at the due launch of the academy.
■ Country Representatives, Regional Team Leads and Coordinators
This team shall comprise individuals from each country who will be responsible for ensuring the academy programs and activities meet its objectives and goals in their respective countries.
Country Representatives and Regional Team Leads are regionally-based leaders who have accepted the responsibility to represent the academy in their respective countries and regions.
Currently, the following regions have had their nominations compiled:

Their roles and responsibilities of Country Representatives and Regional Team Leadsinclude building and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders, leading the events and activities in their regions, identifying opportunities for the academy to establish and expand its reach and drives its impact for the communities they are representing.
Country Representatives, Regional Team Leads and Coordinators are expected to be proactive, resourceful, and effective communicators as well as being good ambassadors of the academy.

■ Academy Mentors
Academy Mentors are experienced professionals who have adequate knowledge about the migration process and can share from personal experience insights that will provide group mentorship, guidance and support to the academy community.
Their roles include helping members develop the needed knowledge, skills and expertise, providing career advice, and facilitating connections and networking opportunities using the experiences, knowledge and skills acquired on their own journeys.
They are expected to be knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields, and to be patient, empathetic, and effective communicators.
All Academy Mentors are presented with the golden opportunity to be internationally trained as coaches by the academy, as well as work through the ranks to become arrow heads, leaders, foundation members, board members or co-founders at the academy.
■ Academy Administrators
Academy Administrators are responsible for managing the day-to-day, behind-the-scene operations of the academy.
Their roles include overseeing administrative tasks, delivering assignments according to budgets, and providing support to other team members. They are expected to be organized, detail-oriented, and efficient, and to have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
■ Affliate Partners and Associates
Academy Affiliate Partners are Business Associates, individuals or organizations who own a community or leads an existing audience and are excited about working collaboratively with the academy to achieve common goals.
Their roles and responsibilities include providing support for ongoing projects.
They are enterprise-oriented individuals and innovators who are excited about promoting the academy products and services, earning a commission from them, or even promoting their own knowledge, resources, products or services with the academy community.
Apart from expanding their own coasts, they also collaborate with the academy and help expand the academy’s network, products, services and reach through their own communities.
Academy Affiliate Partners and Associates are expected to be reliable, responsive ambassadors who are committed to the mission and vision of the academy.
All activities of the Academy Affiliate Partners and Associates are binded by official legal contracts and contractual agreements with the academy.
