We are seeking dedicated academy mentors to provide personalized guidance and support to aspiring and existing students from diverse backgrounds.
Academy Mentors will be dealing with categories of students as follows:

Job Description
As an Academy Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in empowering students on their academic and professional journeys.
You will leverage your expertise and experiences to inspire, mentor, and guide students in achieving their goals.
This role will involve group and one-on-one mentoring sessions, group discussions, and fostering a nurturing learning environment.
Tasks:
- 🎯 Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to students in their academic and professional journey.
- 🎯 Offer personalized advice and mentorship based on their own experiences and expertise but in line with organizational policy
- 🎯 Foster a positive and empowering learning environment for students.
- 🎯 Facilitate group and one-on-one mentoring sessions and discussions.
- 🎯 Assist students in setting realistic goals and developing action plans.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- 🎯 Serve as role models for students, demonstrating excellence in their respective fields.
- 🎯 Provide insights and perspectives on career pathways and opportunities in the industry.
- 🎯 Assist students in enhancing their skills, knowledge, and confidence.
- 🎯 Cultivate a dignified, the supportive and inclusive mentorship relationship with each mentee.
- 🎯 Collaborate with other mentors and educators to optimize the mentoring program's effectiveness.
Person Specification:
- 🎯 Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant fields (e.g., healthcare, nursing, education, tech, coaching, or other relevant field that fits the above listed student categories)
- 🎯 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 🎯 Empathetic and supportive attitude towards students' needs.
- 🎯 Passion for empowering and inspiring home-grown and overseas talents.
- 🎯 Proven track record of career accomplishments and leadership qualities
Preferred Candidates:
JapaDemy seeks candidates who are experienced professionals with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in their respective careers or fields of practice.
The preferred candidates should either be resident within Africa or preferably have been resident outside Africa (preferably in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, U.S, Asia, Jamaica, Saudi Arabia, Finland, Germany or any other parts of Europe) within the last 1 year.
Exceptional candidates who are resident in Africa or possesses less than the required years of experience may also be considered for the position of interns.
Desirable Qualification:
An international certification in mentorship or coaching is desirable but not compulsory.
